Introduction

I'm very sure that Logitech is a very familiar name to most PC users. Many of you are probably holding a Logitech mouse in your hand right now and typing on your Logitech keyboard. And of course, some of you probably have a Logitech webcam perched on top of your monitor.

Hmm.... Am we missing something? Of course! How could we forget Logitech speakers! And that's what we are going to be looking into today - speakers from Logitech.

Logitech's flagship 5.1 speakers - the Z-5500, is currently one of the best speaker systems in the market. However, such a good product inevitably comes with a "good" price. Therefore, not everyone afford one.

Fortunately, Logitech also produces mainstream and low-end speakers which are more affordable. The Z-640, which we are going to review today, is Logitech's mainstream speakers which comes at a decent price. Does this means that the Z-640 will also have decent performance? Let's find out!

The Package

The Logitech Z-640 comes in a large cardboard box. The picture on the box clearly shows how the Z-640 looks like. It looks pretty cool, doesn't it?

Front

The features of the Z-640 speakers are clearly listed on the opposite side of the box in different languages. You can also find the specifications of the Z-640 on the other two sides of the box.

Right Side

Logitech really did a good job in packaging the Z-640. The speakers were inside plastic bags, their cables wrapped within thin pieces of foam. Of course, all with tape binding them.
